Here is a song i wrote in about 4 hours while testing out new studios at Berklee College of Music.
I started with an idea of using Middle Eastern sounding scales, primarily what is known as Phyrgian Mode.
This is now dedicated to Earth Day 2021 and a Tale of Two Cities - one modern electronics and the other old world and acoustic.
After creating the groove using some Apple Logic Pro X loops, i improvised all the melodies and leads using the above scale, but using different sounds for each motif, with slight variations
Next for a bridge section i built up layer of Raga vocals with some Turkish and Indian guitars, tabla, bass and other instruments.
Then i returned back to the original Electronic Music Motif.
For this song i envisioned some dancers in each section and then created the final section as the equivalent of a cool off period of a strenuous workout. It's in 3/4 time as well and eases out to the end of the piece.
